About Yume

みなさん、こんにちは！My name is Yume, and I am a native Japanese speaker from Osaka, Japan.

I am currently studying a Master of Teaching at the University of Melbourne, specializing in Japanese and Humanities. I have experience teaching more than 50 students online and previously worked as a Japanese language assistant at an Australian secondary school for 10 months, supporting VCE students.

Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from a Japanese university
️- Currently studying a Master of Teaching at the University of Melbourne
️-CELTA-qualified English teacher, which means I can explain Japanese clearly in English
️- IELTS Academic overall score of 8.0
️- Experience supporting more than 50 students, including primary and secondary school students, VCE learners, and adults

What to expect in my lessons
In the first lesson, we will introduce ourselves and discuss your Japanese level, learning goals, interests, and any areas you find challenging. Based on this conversation, I will create a personalized lesson plan for you. I will provide all the materials, so you do not need to prepare anything. Just bring your enthusiasm and honest thoughts!

Regular lessons can focus on conversation, grammar, speaking, writing, or a combination of these areas. I also provide tailored study notes and engaging materials to make grammar and vocabulary learning more enjoyable and memorable.

I will support you at your own pace and help you build confidence using Japanese in meaningful, real-life situations. Come and join me on your Japanese-learning journey

- Lessons can focus entirely on conversation, grammar, or a combination of both
