About Liza
Hi! I’m a 19-year-old English tutor from Sydney, Australia, with a Ukrainian background. I’m fluent in both English and Russian, and I’m currently learning Ukrainian and German. I’ve always had a love for languages and a passion for teaching, which is what inspired me to start tutoring. My goal is to help students feel confident and comfortable using English in everyday situations. I teach learners of all ages and tailor my lessons to suit each person’s pace, interests, and learning style. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your speaking skills, I aim to make lessons engaging, practical, and enjoyable. With experience tutoring children in the past (in math), I now focus fully on English language teaching. I’m patient, supportive, and genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow. I take a student-centered approach to English language teaching, tailoring each lesson to the learner’s age, level, and goals. I focus on building confidence and communication skills through a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. For younger learners, I incorporate games, storytelling, and visuals to make lessons fun and accessible. With teens and adults, I use discussions, role-plays, and task-based learning to build fluency and accuracy.

I previously tutored children in mathematics. While I now focus solely on English language teaching, my background in tutoring helps me explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
