About Ricard

I have been a teacher and professional musician for 20 years. I studied music at the music school and conservatory of Badalona. During all these years I have played in multiple formations of different styles, both versions and original songs, which has allowed me to learn more and more.

As for the teaching sector, I have also had the opportunity and pleasure of giving lessons to many people, both individually and in schools, and I have been able not only to teach but also to learn from my students.

I always try to make my classes as enjoyable as possible by putting the explained concepts into practice, as well as using multimedia resources to have fun while learning. Besides, you will verify that in my lessons you will have total freedom to express your doubts and/or concerns. Together we will carry out a personalized method that suits your needs and the time you have available to dedicate to the instrument.

If you are self-taught, either on your own or using YouTube resources, then you are also welcome. You will not have to abandon that path, but I will provide you with resources so that you can make the most of all that information available on the network.

It doesn't matter what level you have but only the desire to learn. Whether you are just starting out with the instrument or have been around for a while but need to perfect it and take it to another level, if you are passionate about music and the instrument, these are your ideal lessons.

About the lesson

Whether you're just starting to play or have experience with the electric bass and want to take it to another level, you're in the right place. Also if you play 5 or 6 string bass.

In my lessons I use a hybrid system. I have a method specifically created by me, but I also work more freely adapting to your needs and tastes. You will have total freedom to express your doubts so that we can
solve them. Working in a more methodological or freer way will depend exclusively on you and what your interests are.

All the material that we work on will always be applied to practical cases, using songs where we can practice the different concepts explained.
As for musical styles, we can work from Funk, Jazz, Blues, Reggea, Latin through Pop, Alternative, Rock to Metal, Progressive, Symphonic Rock among others.

Apart from that we can immerse ourselves in the world of effects and know how to use them to get the most out of them if you are also interested.

All the documents that we use will be provided by me, as well as the possibility of having them in PDF format.
We will also work with a multitude of backing tracks so that you can play over them and be able to apply what you have learned in a pleasant way.

SLAP, TAPPING, CHORDS
I also teach lessons on these specific electric bass techniques.

PS: If you are one of those who have started with YouTube tutorials, then there is no problem. You shouldn't give it up. What's more, we will reinforce your knowledge so that you can make the most of it and get more out of it.
