About Daisy

Hi, I’m Daisy! I’m a Year 11 student who genuinely enjoys helping others learn. I’m approachable, patient, and always take the time to listen to my students so I can support them in a way that works best for them. My goal is to create a relaxed and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.
I’m passionate about teaching because I know how important it is to have someone explain things in a way that actually makes sense. I love seeing students improve, feel more capable, and start to enjoy their learning. I’m committed to being reliable, organized, and supportive, so both students and parents can feel confident in my tutoring.

About the lesson

My approach to English tutoring is about building confidence and helping students express their ideas clearly. I break down concepts like essay writing, analysis, and comprehension into simple, manageable steps, so students don’t feel overwhelmed. I focus on developing strong writing skills, vocabulary, and structure. I include exam-style responses so students feel prepared and know exactly what’s expected in assessments.
I have never received anything other than an A+ or 100% in English and Literature assessments, so I understand what high-quality responses look like and how to achieve top results. My lessons are tailored to each student, whether they need help with basic skills or want to extend themselves further.
Lessons usually run for 60 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust timing to suit each student. I tutor students from Prep to Year 10, helping with reading, writing, comprehension, and essay skills at all levels.
I’ve received an academic award every semester at Lourdes Hill College and was Dux of Years 7, 8, and 9. I also have a year of tutoring experience with primary and junior secondary students in English and other subjects. I currently study Literature.
I am very familiar with the QCAA curriculum and expectations, so I can guide students on how to structure responses, analyze texts effectively, and develop the skills they need to succeed in senior English and work towards a strong ATAR.
