About Phoebe
I am a dancer of thirteen years and have been teaching since 2017. I work with very diverse parts of the Brisbane community, from twins and their siblings at Brisbane Multiple Birth Association to elderly people living with dementia at Burnie Brae Respite Centre. I dance at Mad Dance House to maintain my technique and perform here and there in shows and events around Brisbane. I recently graduated from QUT with Distinction and teach dance and musical theatre at YMCA Jamboree Heights.

Classes will always start with a warm up. That will be followed by technique and then move into learning some choreography. I am a very demonstrative teacher and never rush my students through learning technique or a new step. A lot of the people I work with are first time dancers, so when I have new students I spend some time working out what they can do and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. The classes are always set to the pace of the student's learning so they will get the most out of the lesson. I am also a big fan of improvisation and choreography activities so students have the opportunity to express themselves and be creative in class.
