About George
I am a health and physical education students who have had some experience tutoring maths for middle school students at my high school during my year 12 studies. I've only tutored two students so far but have had some success in helping those students build their confidence in the field of maths and also improve their test grades. Additionally, I have had two years experience as a Greek LOTE teacher.

Hello, my name is George I'm a Bachelor of Health and PE student at Deakin who is looking to tutor students in Maths. My previous tutoring experience is in general maths with middle school students. My main focus is to help students build confidence in the field of maths as I believe a lack of confidence is one of the main reasons why some students struggle in this subject. My lessons will also be focused on developing and improving the student's weaknesses by providing them with different techniques, formulas and shortcuts they can use to solve various problems.
Every student is unique and learns in a different way. The lessons will also have aspects of various learning styles that your child is most comfortable with. For example, if your child is more of a visual learner than the lessons will include a wide variety of pictures and manipulatives to help them understand the topic at hand. Alongside this, they will also include many practice questions and timed questions/ quizzes to add some pressure. It may sound boring but it's important for your child to develop their maths skills through these practice questions, and pressured situations to help improve any weaknesses so that your child will feel more comfortable and confident during their tests.
