About Jim
"Teaching guitar allows me to dissect the mechanics of sound for others to understand. Most people think speed is the primary hurdle when, in reality, clean chord transitions happen through stillness.
I hold an Artist Diploma in Music Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Having taught 124 students over 13 years, I recognize the patterns that lead to progress. My background ranges from first lessons to performance level work. You might enjoy exploring the fretboard with me soon."

"Music theory feels like a hidden language until it clicks into place, which is why I start with the logic of the fretboard. I integrate my Artist Diploma training into lessons covering barre chords and ear training. You get a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high for your weekly goals. This keeps the work manageable.
Guitar instruction involves reading tabs and acoustic technique as much as it does intuition. I am here to help you navigate these structures. My approach is quite straightforward."
