About Carmen
I am an experienced teacher who has worked with a large variety of learners. I have been in a public school where I had to teach large numbers and face the daily challenge of learning barriers, time constraints and diversity. I have developed strategies to help me cope in the situations I have been faced with and I am willing to share insight. I have tutoring experience during my 4 year degree completion as well.

I follow the learner centred approach where the learners are the teachers main concern and the teacher works according to the needs and pace of the learners. I have adapted and learnt to adapt my lessons according to the learning needs of the learners, therefore to suit the various learning styles. Further, I focus on making my lessons interactive and filled with discussion as learners tend to understand concepts easier when done this way. I have also learnt to incorporate different activities in my lessons which help the learners or students by reinforcing new concepts and knowledge. Lessons always need to follow a certain structure: warm up, Introduction, Body(your main information that needs to be addressed and activities) and lastly your plenary or conclusion to ensure success!!
