About Kate
Hello!
My name is Kate and I am a high-achieving secondary school student currently completing VCE. Outside of school, I have discovered my passion for teaching as a dance teacher, and have used those transferable skills to apply them to academic tutoring!
As a person who completed their first VCE Unit 1 Subject aged 14 (average of first subject is 16), I understand both wanting to extend yourself, while also understanding hardship and the work needed to overcome challenges.
I genuinely care about ensuring my students stay on track and make meaningful progress toward their goals, while also understanding that navigating primary school can be a wild journey.
I am part of the Monash Scholars Program as well as my secondary college's SEAL Program (Selective Entry Accelerated Learning).

Are you looking for a casual tutor who can help your child develop skills that are key for the rest of their academic journey?As a student myself, I know the importance of being able to reinforce learning and understanding. With my background in dance, I approach teaching with a hands on method. Demonstrating strategies, techniques and then applying them on real problems and worksheets, I work one on one with students to support their educational journey.
Individualised to each person, I am able to support students with in-class material, homework or support high achieving students with new material and subjects to extend themselves.
