About Karissa
My name is Karissa and I am a dedicated high school student attending Archbishop Molloy High School who enjoys helping younger students learn and succeed. I am patient, responsible, organized, and eager to share my knowledge with others. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts clearly and personalize the lesson the way they can learn easier. I strive to provide a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions and give me feedback without having to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. As a student myself, I understand what it feels like to be shy and hesitant when you don’t understand something. This is my reason why I want to tutor kids one-on-one because they may be in the same position I was in. I want every student to feel heard and understand that there is nothing wrong with asking questions.
