About Kathlene
"Sometimes I find the most difficult part of playing is simply remembering to breathe during a challenging passage. Having spent 13 years refining my own craft, I now guide others through the complexities of spiccato and staccato bowing.
Teaching 165 students has given me a deep appreciation for the unique hurdles each player faces. My BMus Piano Performance degree from Queensland Conservatorium informs how I view musical structure even on the violin.
We spend considerable time on bowing technique and ear training to ensure every note speaks clearly. Tuning by ear is a vital skill I emphasize alongside rigid grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards. My teaching remains energized."
