About Steven
Physics graduate with a PhD in Nuclear Physics, before becoming a Physics teacher I worked in the nuclear industry and then as a Postdoctoral researcher developing radiation detectors. I have been teaching Physics at GCSE and A level for 8 years, with many of my students going on to study at prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Imperial College and many more.
I have also taught Mathematics and Computer Science.

I believe that the most successful lessons are interactive, with a strong focus on core knowledge and application of that knowledge via problem solving and past paper questions.
Typically, in a lesson we might review a key concept or topic, then discuss this in detail with a big focus you, as the student, developing your understanding. We would then move on to you applying this knowledge by considering problems that will really test your understanding, with me providing support wherever needed.
Another approach might involve you attempting problems before a lesson, with us then using the lesson, or part of it, to discuss and work through your answers. We would then move on another topic in the latter stages of the lesson, with me then providing problems/past paper questions for you to work work through before the next
session.
