About Sophie
Hi! I am Sophie, I am 23yr old and I have a first class degree in Chemical & Process Engineering. I work full time as an engineer and spend my evenings tutoring students.
I have a vast range of experience tutoring university level, down to 11+. I adopt a very approachable teaching style, and build a good repour with my students. I try follow along their school ciruclumum at the same pace, to consolidate what they have learnt in school and be able to apply the knowledge correctly in past papers. I adapt my approach based on the needs and confidence of the student.
I can also assist with CVs, personal statements, job applications and general career advice.
I am able to teach Maths and Chemistry to A-Level/Advanced Higher, and Biology/Physics to GSCE/Nat 5 if required. I achieved 5 As during my Highers in School, and Straight As in my advanced Highers, and was awarded several medals for academic distinction so I am well placed to help your child achieve their goals!
I work in the evenings, and can be very flexible to suit your timetables.
