About Isra

I am a first year dental student at the University of Manchester and was successful in 100% of my dental school interviews. As an experienced tutor with three years of successful teaching in various subjects, I bring a unique blend of knowledge and personal insight to dental school interview preparation. As I have been through my dental school interviews only last year, the process is fresh in my mind, allowing me to share current trends and expectations. I understand the nuances of the process and the qualities admissions teams are looking for. My tailored approach focuses on building confidence, enhancing communication skills, and refining responses to common interview questions.

About the lesson

During my interview lessons, I help students prepare for interviews by teaching them the basic dentistry knowledge that is required and providing guidance on how to answer questions, for example, about work experience, their personal statement and ethics. I also practice role plays with students so that they are more confident when doing these in MMIs. Once students have a good level of knowledge and skills, I hold mock interviews with them and provide detailed feedback to help them to improve further in their real interviews and hopefully gain offers in. I’m happy to support students with their personal statements by proofreading and offering continuous feedback. Through working on drafts together, I’ll guide students in creating a statement that makes the best possible impression. I can advise on what to include and how to say it effectively in order to give you the best shot at landing an interview.

Perfect! Isra is an outstanding tutor. In my first lesson I was unsure about the ethics station, but by the end it had become one of my strongest areas thanks to her clear and structured teaching. Her PowerPoints are detailed, focused, and contain exactly what you need—concise, effective, and perfectly tailored for interview preparation.

She gives personalised feedback on every answer, with clear WWW and EBI points and specific advice on how to improve and achieve top marks.
