About Taran
Hi, I’m Taran, a 3rd year Dental student with a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, understand difficult topics and achieve the grades they are capable of.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy playing both football and cricket, which has taught me the importance of teamwork, communication and discipline. I bring the same approach to tutoring, creating a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.
Having successfully gone through the process of applying for Dentistry myself, I understand the challenges students face and the dedication required to reach their goals. I enjoy sharing the knowledge, techniques and experience I have gained to help students progress academically and feel more confident in their studies.

My name is Taran, and I am a 3rd year Dental student who achieved 3 A’s at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, alongside A/A* grades at GCSE.
My teaching focuses on identifying key weaknesses and improving them efficiently to help students raise their grades. I use my own notes, a range of resources and the relevant specification to keep lessons focused and exam-oriented. I also share practical exam techniques and common question patterns to help students perform confidently on the day.
I specialise in AQA Biology and have extensive knowledge across the subject through both my A-level studies and Dental degree. I also offer GCSE Edexcel Maths. I particularly enjoy supporting students applying for healthcare courses such as Medicine and Dentistry, having successfully gone through the application process myself.
A typical lesson begins with a short diagnostic assessment to identify the student's current knowledge and weaknesses. We then target these areas, work through any mistakes or gaps in understanding, and finish by applying the knowledge to exam-style questions.
In the 2025 application cycle, I helped 8 students achieve their target grades, including one student who secured a place to study Dentistry.
