About MITHUJAN
As a newly qualified dentist, I have spent many years studying and applying scientific and mathematical concepts at a high level. Throughout my education, I developed a strong appreciation for the importance of having supportive teachers and mentors who can make challenging subjects easier to understand.
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others learn and gain confidence in their abilities. Maths and Science are subjects that many students find challenging, but I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can improve and achieve their potential. Tutoring allows me to share the knowledge and study skills that helped me succeed academically while making a positive impact on students' educational journeys.
My recent experience as a student also means I understand the pressures of exams and effective revision techniques. I can relate to students' challenges and provide practical strategies to help them build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and improve their performance in GCSE Maths and Science.
Teaching is also a rewarding opportunity to develop my communication and mentoring skills while inspiring the next generation of learners to pursue their academic goals with confidence and enthusiasm.

Hello, I am a newly graduated dentist. I have been tutoring Maths and Science for GCSE level and younger years throughout my university degree so for the last 5 years at a tuition centre.
Typical lesson times is an hour or 90 minutes
My teaching approach combines:
Concept-based learning – ensuring students fully understand the underlying principles rather than simply memorising facts or methods.
Step-by-step explanations – breaking down complex topics into manageable parts.
Active learning – encouraging students to explain concepts back to me and solve problems independently.
Exam-focused practice – using GCSE-style questions, past papers, and mark schemes to improve exam technique and maximise grades.
Regular assessment and feedback – tracking progress and identifying areas that need further attention.
Personalised lesson plans – adapting lessons to each student's pace, goals, and exam board requirements (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.).
