About Dharshini
Hello! I'm Dharshini Raja, a college student from Chennai, India. I'm currently doing my Bachelor's in design at NIFT, Bengaluru. My whole family comes from an Art background, my father is an artist and my mother is a musician and together they run an art gallery. Naturally, art has been a big part of my life since I was young and I've always been interested in learning new styles and mediums as I grew up. I pursued art in high school for 4 years, and chose to pursue designing for higher studies. I have participated in various art competitions throughout my schooling and won. One such competition took me to South Korea as a representative of India for the finals in which I won the Bronze medal. I have also created my own series of children's paintings when I was in high school, that sold out.

So here are a few things about how I teach: - Since I'm a student myself, I understand that everyone has different learning styles and I'll do my best to understand that and help the student. - I'd like to be a friendly mentor rather than a teacher to my students, so you can be assured that we'll have lots of fun while making art. - Art can be intimidating for newcomers, but I'll make sure the student enjoys the process while still learning. - I intend to take classes for school students who are interested in learning Fine Arts/Illustrating/Design. Although I mention school students, I'm not specific about any age group, anyone who wants to learn art is welcome. - Students need not be experienced in art, a flair for learning is good enough!
