About Nicolas
I have been in and out of various universities for the last 30 years, studying and teaching. I have a number of postgraduate degrees and am considering now the pursuit of my PhD. I have also worked for 12 years full-time at one of the most successful Architects offices at the time. I did this until 2009 as part of our Graphics Department. Having been trained in the field of architecture, my penchant is nowadays towards the artistic expression within the field of general design and more importantly the underlying sustain-ability of the things we create. The part of the iceberg that one does not see.

My teaching relies heavily on feedback and brainstorming, whereby I always consider the insight that the teacher learns as much as his students do. The original background of mine is architecture and concept design in various fields. I have conducted design studio classes with up to 35 students at university level since 2009. Sketches, Hands-On arts & craft methods in the form of fast tactile design and concept models, as well as the verbal or written articulation of ideas are the backbone of my sessions. The importance hereby lies often with the questions asked and not necessarily with a solution. My lessons would be suitable for the
University undergraduate or High School students Level 10 upwards. Length and format of my lessons are flexible and depend on context and circumstances.
