About Ruth
Teaching violin became my primary focus after 13 years of professional performance and studio recording work. I admit that mastering the bow requires a level of patience that many players find frustrating in the early stages.
Having guided 371 students, I focus on classical repertoire, grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity, and essential music theory. We refine tone production and complex techniques like spiccato and staccato bowing through methodical practice. I genuinely enjoy watching students discover the nuances of tuning by ear and mastering scales.
