About Manuel

I am from the Caribbean coast of Colombia and have been teaching for over 11 years. I have experience with a wide variety of ages and demographics, having worked with displaced and at-risk youth for many years. My partner is from the United States, and, out of a shared love for cultural education, we co-founded an oral history museum in my hometown. We both love sharing history and culture with our visitors from all over the world.

In Colombia, I studied teaching and public administration, and have always been extremely active in community development. More recently, I have relocated to the United States where I have worked an an international high school teaching International Baccalaureate Spanish.

I enjoy hiking, cooking, travelling, and, of course, teaching!
