About Tenzin
I am a 10th-generation Tibetan Thangka artist currently studying under my father to carry on our family’s lineage and keep this sacred tradition alive. As a Buddhist, my journey is driven by a commitment to preserving the integrity of Tibetan Thangka art, earning good merit, and enhancing visualization practices for myself and others. Based in Kathmandu, Nepal—a global hub for Thangka art—I am surrounded by inspiration and culture. I am eager to share what I’ve learned so far, as teaching allows me to deepen my studies and understanding. During lessons, I will consult with my father to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of what I share. When I’m not immersed in art, I enjoy staying active, spending time with loved ones, hiking, and exploring Nepal’s breathtaking natural beauty.

I teach through a hands-on approach, guiding students step by step in the sacred principles of Tibetan Buddhist Thangka art. My method combines traditional scripture-based measurements with visual demonstrations, emphasizing precision, mindfulness, and cultural authenticity in every element drawn.
Lessons begin with a discussion of the spiritual significance of the art form, followed by practice in foundational techniques like sketching deity proportions or sacred motifs such as fire, clouds, or flowers. Each class concludes with personalized feedback to refine skills for future sessions.
As a 10th-generation Tibetan Thangka artist studying under my father, I bring a unique heritage, passion, and cultural depth to my teaching. My lessons are rooted in tradition, offering an authentic introduction to Thangka art that is rarely accessible outside Tibet. They are open to art enthusiasts and Buddhist practitioners of all levels, whether seeking personal growth, spiritual connection, or cultural appreciation. No prior experience is required!

I write this recommendation for Tenzin with genuine enthusiasm! Most recently he completed a month long one-on-one training session with my son providing amazing job communicating with my son and providing excellent direction. He is The type of coach or teacher who helps inspire kids to be better everyday and showcase what a true role model is. I am indebted to tenzin for being so patient and being very creative with the training plan you provided for my son. The time spent with my son was worth the investment! Thank you again.
Tenzin is a great teacher, he teaches you in a way where you’re able to understand the sport better and play to your strengths and around your weaknesses. He’s your teacher but he’s also just your friend, and that’s what I really liked about learning from him.
Tenzin is very patient with me and understands what I need to do, to become a better player.
His teaching style caters towards my learning style, and I can confidently say I have improved at basketball because of him.
Highly recommend.Tenzin is a great trainer. He helped me develop my game through all aspects and also knowledge about the game of basketball. He has been training me for many years and has helped me improve my game, giving me the ability to play basketball at some of the highest levels. Would very much recommend him as a trainer and is a great person to be around as well.
My son has been taking few sessions with Tenzin in the last couple of months and there is a huge difference in his offensive skills, especially shooting. I have noticed that he breaks down each technique in a slow motion making it easy for anyone to observe and learn. My son left the session feeling confident and with a positive attitude.
