About Vanessa
Since last year I have had a Bachelor in Multilingual Communication with the main languages German, English and French, which I all speak fluently. My native languages are Italian and German, but I also speak very good Spanish, which I learned during my 9 month Latin America trip. I have been working at a language school for 3 years where I mainly teach German as a foreign language for children at the age of 13-17. The German courses take place 5 days a week, three lessons a day for half a year. Most of the adolescent students are new in Germany and usually have no prior knowledge of the German language. Within this first half year, they learn how to express themselves in everyday life and social life, lose their fear of contact with the complexity of the language and discover the fun of learning. I am also working as a German teacher at the community college , where adult people from all over the world with a variety of motives discover with me the ease of the German language. Thanks to the language school, I was also able to teach English courses at a Cologne university and at the Eisenbahnfachschule Essen. I am used to dealing with people of all countries, origin and age groups and I do not want to miss this kind of communication and cultural exchange any more. I have a variety of learning material and I am happy to pass on my knowledge in a simple way.

My classes are freely designed according to the needs of my students, and we definitely combine the dry part of the grammar with hands-on examples and interactive tasks, such as dialogues about realistic situations or topics. Together, we discuss which topics and areas of study need to be more intensively dealt with with each student and then practice them in different ways until they are fully learned.
