About Steven
As a result of my graduate training, research, and 15+ years of teaching experience in the social sciences, I am prepared to teach a variety of courses at the post-secondary level and graduate levels. For the past 6 years my teaching has focused on questions of public policy and how political institutions work in liberal-democracies and authoritarian governments. In addition, by way of my expertise and experience in teaching American Politics at York University, along with AP US Government and Politics and AP Comparative Government and Politics at CheongShim International School, I also prepared to teach courses that emphasize institutional, historical, economic, cultural, and contemporary aspects of modern society. Moreover, my main teaching philosophy is based on differentiated learning which helps students with diverse skills to reach their fullest potential.
