About Colton
Starting with a conversation is often better than burying you in a heavy textbook right away. I cater to intermediate learners and travelers by simulating real-world scenarios. We work through exam preparation for the DELE while maintaining a focus on natural speech patterns. A dedicated homework module with feedback follows every single class to solidify your progress.
My experience allows me to bridge the gap between academic grammar and the way people actually speak. I aim to make you feel comfortable speaking the language quickly. See you in class for a coffee and some Spanish practice.

Clear pronunciation and essential idioms make up the bulk of my language curriculum. I have taught 159 students over 13 years by emphasizing real-world usage.
Grammar is necessary, but I prefer to integrate it into travel Spanish scenarios. My background as an expat helps me explain why certain expressions sound the way they do. Many kids and absolute beginners appreciate this conversational flow. I keep the mood high and the pressure low during our sessions.
