About Marcus
Hello, and welcome I am Marcus, Currently I am studying and double majoring in chemical engineering and mathematics, some might call these boring but, they are really what makes the world go around which is what interests me and so many others.
I know that these subjects can be overwhelming and feel like an impossible hill to climb with all the concepts thrown at students now, That is why I am here to make these concepts easy to learn and master, by breaking them down into pieces and explaining each step in a manageable and understandable way for an individual.
I can help with homework, exam and test prep, practice problems, Waterloo contest prep, and difficult concepts. I will adjust my teaching methods to best help you learn.
As a current university student (Taking a double major at that) I understand the difficulties when studying math and chemistry, my aim is to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where you can learn and not be afraid to ask questions away.
If you are looking for a patient, encouraging, approachable, math and chemistry tutor, then I will be looking forward to working with you!

I have a very rigorous method of teaching some might call old school but, I call helpful. I will find the best method to get you to where you want through the following.
-Writing out steps (constantly if you are a kinesthetic learner or writing/reading learner this is best)
-Reading out the steps (if you are an audio learner this is great)
-Using graphs and lots of visuals (Great if you are a visual learner)
*I will assess the best method for you on the first session
A typical lesson will be first an introduction to a new concept or concept you are stuck on with open discussion, homework/review with open help, then independent practice and review of the session's concepts taught and homework assignment (yes, I know but it helps).
I can help anyone in courses in math or natural science (more on the chemistry end) from grade 3 to grade 12, I can also help with prep for the Waterloo math contest if you are interested in that.
