About Sumana
**Experienced Mathematics Tutor | PhD Student | Patient & Results-Oriented**
Hello! I'm Sumana, a PhD student in Mathematics at Indiana University Indianapolis with a strong passion for teaching and helping students build confidence in math.
I have experience teaching and tutoring students from middle school through college, covering subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, and other undergraduate mathematics courses. Whether you're preparing for exams, catching up in class, or aiming for top grades, I can help you understand concepts clearly and solve problems with confidence.
My teaching style is patient, interactive, and tailored to each student's learning needs. I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance. Rather than encouraging memorization, I focus on helping students understand the "why" behind each concept, making learning easier and more enjoyable.

I believe in creating a safe space for my students where they can ask me questions without getting intimidated.
I try to break harder problems into simple and more manageable steps and support my students through and through it. I have worked with students for more than 10 years now from intermediate, middle, high school, and even undergraduates. I myself did bachelor's and two master's degrees in mathematics. I am empathetic and believe that the right resources and patience can make anyone understand mathematics better.
