About Nia
I am an IT and cybersecurity professional with a strong academic background in both psychology and technology. I hold a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology. I also hold the CompTIA Security+ certification.
My professional experience spans cybersecurity, GRC, security engineering, technical support, and the federal government. I enjoy helping others learn and believe that even challenging material can become manageable when it is explained in a clear and relatable way.
My psychology background gives me a unique perspective on learning, communication, and individual differences, while my technology experience allows me to connect academic concepts to real-world applications. I strive to create a patient, encouraging, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.

My tutoring approach is personalized, supportive, and focused on making complex concepts easier to understand. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Information Technology in progress, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world professional experience to my lessons.
I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, goals, and current level. Lessons may include concept reviews, guided practice, study strategies, real-world examples, and preparation for assignments or exams. My goal is not simply to provide answers, but to help students understand the material and become more confident independent learners.
