About Jaya
I’m a PhD researcher at Durham University and a former Support Astronomer at a professional observatory. I use Python extensively in my research for scientific data analysis, simulations and instrumentation, and I have several years of university teaching experience.
I enjoy making coding approachable and helping students gain the confidence to solve problems independently.

My lessons are friendly, practical and tailored to your goals. We learn Python by actually coding together, using exercises and small projects rather than memorising syntax.
I teach complete beginners, STEM students and anyone wanting Python for university, research or data analysis. Lessons are usually one hour, with plenty of time to ask questions and work through problems at your own pace.
