About Tim

I’m a Dutch language teacher based in New Zealand, passionate about helping students connect with the Dutch language and culture. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where learners of all levels can build confidence and fluency. Living abroad myself, I understand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language, and I bring that perspective into my lessons. Beyond language, I enjoy sharing insights into Dutch traditions, history, and everyday life, making my classes both practical and culturally enriching.

About the lesson

I take a very personal approach with the students I teach. I also have a very hands-on approach being from the Netherlands, and speaking Dutch all the time. I’m a great conversationalist in both Dutch and English. I will be able to perfectly explain all grammar and spelling in Dutch.
