If I had to describe whether my classroom is teacher- or learner-oriented, I would have to say it is learning-oriented. While I take my students’ needs and opinions into great consideration, my focus is very much on the process and the end product in an interactive, slightly competitive environment. I actually want my students to finish the course with a high level of understanding of the material, but not by simply trying to fill them up like a gasoline tank. I want to launch them on a path of critical thinking and individual acting on those thoughts.
