About Amparo
Hey there! I am thrilled to introduce myself as your potential tutor, dedicated to guiding you on an exciting journey of language learning. My name is Amparo, and I am passionate about teaching Spanish.
With a diploma in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Montevideo (Uruguay) and a Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT CLIL) certification from Cambridge, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our lessons. My background includes extensive experience teaching children aged 7 to 12 who relocated to Uruguay from the US due to their parents' job assignments. Additionally, I have successfully prepared 18-year-old students for the Spanish entry test required to pursue translation studies at the university level.
However, it's important to note that while my experience has primarily involved teaching children and young adults, I am confident in my ability to teach learners of all ages and proficiency levels. Whether you're a beginner embarking on your language learning journey or an advanced learner striving for fluency and mastery, I am here to tailor our lessons to meet your specific needs and goals.
My motivation to teach stems from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of language. I am committed to helping you unlock the full potential of your linguistic abilities, providing personalized instruction, constructive feedback, and encouragement every step of the way. Together, we will celebrate your progress and achievements, building confidence and proficiency along the way.
I am excited about the opportunity to embark on this language learning journey with you. Let's embark on this adventure together and unlock the endless possibilities that language learning has to offer.
I'm excitedly awaiting our language adventures together!

I believe in a student-centered approach, tailoring my teaching methods to suit the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I incorporate a variety of techniques, including interactive activities, multimedia resources, real-life examples, and practical exercises to engage students and reinforce learning. I emphasize communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
The typical length of a lesson varies depending on the student's needs and preferences, but I usually recommend sessions of 60 minutes. This allows for sufficient time to cover key concepts, practice exercises, and address any questions or concerns the student may have.
I hold a diploma in Spanish language and culture from the University of Montevideo (Uruguay), providing me with a solid academic foundation in language studies. Additionally, I have obtained a Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT CLIL) certification from Cambridge, which further enhances my expertise in language teaching methodologies. With regards to practical experience, I have successfully taught children aged 7 to 12 who relocated to Uruguay from the US due to their parents' job assignments. I have also guided 18-year-old students in preparing for the Spanish entry test required for admission to translation studies at university, helping them achieve their academic goals with confidence and proficiency.
My lessons are suitable for learners of all levels and ages who are interested in improving their proficiency in Spanish. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation in the language, an intermediate learner striving to enhance fluency and comprehension, or an advanced student aiming to refine your skills, my lessons are tailored to meet your specific goals and objectives. Additionally, I welcome learners of all ages, from children to adults, and adapt my teaching style accordingly to ensure an enjoyable and effective learning experience for each individual.
