About Robyn
I am originally from Scotland where I have had many years within a variety of schools. Now living in Cheltenham with my husband, I am available for maths tuition.
You are in charge of your own education, and as an extension of that, you should choose a tutor you are comfortable with.
Outside of school, I have a variety of hobbies. I am a twitch streamer, playing ttrpgs such as D&D. I also LARP and cosplay.
I enjoy getting to know all my pupils and I am invested in their futures.

Face-to-face: This is at your own home or at a public location such as a cafe.
Online: This is done through zoom with the use of an interactive whiteboard and screen share.
Each lesson is designed around the pupil. I use maths grids to determine areas where improvement is needed.
Lessons are broken up into sections as follows;
General Maths Improvement
First 5-10 minutes: Warm-up exercise using maths games involving D&D dice and quick recall.
Next 40 minutes: one-to-one work on maths areas where improvement is needed.
Last 10 minutes: cool down maths games.
GCSE PREP
First 5 minutes: Discussion on any topics you would like to focus on in this session or any questions.
Next 50 minutes: one-to-one work on past papers focusing on question areas where you are struggling.
Last 5 minutes: We shall go over exam techniques and your revision plan.
My lessons are built on a feedback system, this ensures that pupils are comfortable and happy with the direction their education is taking.
GCSE students: Lessons on the run-up to GCSE exams are focused on exam techniques, exam questions, and past papers.
