About Meg
I am currently doing a doctorate in urban ecology - understanding relationships between living things in our towns and cities, to make them healthier and happier places. I have a first class degree in Ecology and Wildlife Conservation from a top UK university, and am knowledgeable about many aspects of the natural world from soil and plants to insects and mammals.
I currently teach Zoology and Ecology undergraduate students, and also work in a zoology museum. In the face of climate change, I believe there is nothing more important than engaging younger generations in the wonders of the natural world - we can't conserve what we don't care about, and we can't care about what we don't know!

In addition to undergraduate teaching and academic mentoring, I also work with students registered with the Disability Service to help them overcome challenges and succeed at university. From these experiences, I am of the opinion that every learner is unique as we all learn differently and at different paces. It is important that we get to know each other, and that you feel able to express yourself and be curious in a completely non-judgemental safe space. I see my methodology as being very organic, learner-focused and driven, and always aiming to find the fun or wonder!
