About Sumaya
Hi, I’m Sumaya, an experienced tutor with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I currently study Economics and Finance at university and have a strong academic background in Mathematics and Sociology.
Alongside tutoring, I have experience creating detailed lesson resources and supporting students across a range of ages and abilities. I tutor GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths, GCSE Sociology, A-Level Sociology, Year 6 SATs, and 11+ preparation.
I believe every student can succeed with the right support and teaching approach. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their understanding, and reaching their full potential.
I am patient, organised, and committed to helping students make measurable progress while building confidence in their abilities.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and reach their academic potential. Every tutoring session is tailored to the individual student’s needs, whether they require support with difficult topics, exam preparation, or boosting their grades.
All sessions are delivered online via Google Meet and supported through Google Classroom, where students can access lesson resources, worksheets, revision materials, homework, and feedback in one organised place. I provide detailed lesson plans and regular homework to ensure students continue making progress outside of our sessions.
I tutor GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths, GCSE Sociology, A-Level Sociology, Year 6 SATs, and 11+ preparation. My tutoring combines clear explanations, worked examples, exam techniques, and plenty of practice questions to help students develop both knowledge and confidence.
I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and achieving their goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for important exams, or strengthen their understanding of a subject, I am committed to helping them succeed.
