About Devin
I’m a patient person who works hard to understand others’ perspectives. This helps me connect with students, recognize their strengths and weaknesses, and provide the support they need. I’ve coached basetball at the K–12 level using these same skills, and I’ve also informally tutored classmates at Colorado College in math, economics, and writing.

My sessions focus on clear explanations, guided practice, and real understanding. I start by breaking down each concept through direct instruction. I use socratic methods, posing questions to help students think through the logic behind each step.
Students actively solve problems during lessons which builds confidence and improves retention. I deliberately suggest incorrect answers at times and ask students to find the flaw in my reasoning which fosters real understanding instead of memorization.
Whether it’s algebra, statistics, or geometry, I make sure every student understands why something works, not just how.
