I always find that starting with the foundations is the most important. When something seems confusing or difficult, I always find that the building blocks that are meant to be incorporated at the start are some what unbalanced. From experience, teachers tend to assume students have learnt particular algebraic properties in previous years by previous teachers, and this isn’t always the case. This is where I come in!
