About Mitchell
As a preschool speech therapy assistant, I work one-on-one with most of my students to ensure that they learn and retain the most information. I find that this works for tutoring as well, as it keeps my attention entirely on my student.
I also make sure that when I move forward with a topic, it is because students have mastered the previous subject. I will not rush your student for the sake of progress.
I have been tutoring privately for a few years now, will all students making noticeable progress within a few months.

I teach students from Kindergarten to 5th grade in basic reading skills. This includes letter sounds and identification, blending and segmenting sounds to create words, and will eventually lead to reading fluency as we progress.
I typically see students twice a week for an hour each session, but this can adjusted to meet student needs. Each lesson begins with a review of the previous session, and will advance as necessary. If the student has homework or work from a teacher, we can target that.
I currently work in a school district a preschool speech therapy assistant. This means I have my Bachelor's degree in speech therapy, but have decided to continue my education in Special Education. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in special education.
