About Ella Sofia
Hello, my name is Ella Sofia and I'm a senior in highschool. Despite my education level, I'm well educated on biology as I've taken AP science courses and also two years of exclusive education on human anatomy and physiology. I founded a medical club in my school and have done multiple medical internships, all of which teach/require a certain level of biology knowledge.
I have tutored middle school students before on general biology and have helped my past students gain about 17% growth in their grade over the school year. Im well educated on biology however I specialize on cell biology (surface level to in-depth) and human anatomy/physiology. I as well can tutor intro to chemistry for 9th or 10th grade students.

I can tutor middle and highschool students starting from 6th grade to 10th grade. I will not tutor Junior or Senior high school students.
I would accommodate to the tutee's schedule whether they would need to take lessons during the week, or the weekend. I would have my tutee send me material or their topic of discussion during class so I could make sure Im well prepared. Lessons of mine are preferred to be 1 hour for younger students to avoid burnout and for older students, 1 to 2 hours is perfect as older students are accustomed to working for longer hours.
My lessons would consist of 3 sectors: lesson overview, habilitation with what the tutee struggles with, and worktime on material/homework their teacher provides for them. If no work was provided, I would have a worksheet ready for the student to work on. If the student wanted extra work, I could provide them with my worksheet alongside their provided homework.
I like to maintain good communication with parents so after each lesson I would send the parent(s) a review the tutoring session and provide info on how their child did during the lesson, what they learned, and what they need to still work on.
