About Agnese
My name is Agnes. I am a native Russian/ Latvian speaker and have been living in London for 9 years. I have had private one-to-one teaching experience in various subjects such as languages, Maths and Science for different age groups of children. I have also gained work experience in translating academic and professional documents for private clients from Russian to Latvian and English. In London I have gained BA(Hons) degree in Business and CHE in Management.
I am offering Russian language teaching for students of different levels (Beginner to Advanced), in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere within London zones 1-3. Online Skype lessons are also available at a discounted rate. My availability is on weekday evenings and weekends basis.
Russian language lessons consist of:
- One-to-one tuition in speaking, listening, writing and reading
- Understanding and improving conversational skills, pronunciation and grammar
- Learning about Russian culture and traditions
I provide my students with all the necessary materials for learning the language, however you can also use your own textbooks too.

I use a mixed method approach with an individual focus, identifying students learning needs and future learning goals combined with the students preferred method of learning. My teaching methodology is a task-based approach with emphasis on communication, practical use of language, pronunciation and listening. Although I think that strong grammatical foundation is very important in learning any language, immediate practice has to be applied in practice and in real life situations.
