About Lou
My name is Lou Howard and I’m a trombone teacher, I also teach early brass and music theory. I have current RAN training, a police check, DCSI clearance and CPR training and I love to teach. I'm very keen to have a chat at your convenience.

Covering everything from theory, scales, harmony, technique, improvisation, finding personal sound, and performance tips. Classical/jazz/pop Graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music majoring in Jazz Performance (trombone). Member of the Royal Australian Navy Band. Performed at WOMAD with Bromham. Performed at ADL500 with Tales. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player - we will take lessons at your own pace. $35 per half hour, $70 per hour plus $5 for travel Police clearance, Responding to Abuse and Neglect training, DCSI clearance, Catholic Police clearance, CPR training.

Lou is really easy going, makes you feel really comfortable and down to earth. Really well practiced and experienced in his craft, both in theory and technicality and passes on his knowledge in a very accessible way. Makes lessons really fun and gives really good exercises to practice on your own. If you want to learn trombone, brass or music, I highly recommend him!
