About Syafiq
I'm an Engineer and manager of 15 years, having worked on a variety of large-scale projects from oil and gas to mining. I like to think that I combine real-world experience with an academic twist to ensure the best outcome for my students, preparing them for a potentially uncertain workforce where they'll have to apply their academic skills to real problems.
All students have their pace and a way in which they learn best, and my aim is to accommodate that whenever possible.

I go by the adage that if you can't explain a concept to a 10-year-old, you don't understand it well enough. I believe in ensuring that students have a grasp of the fundamentals while having the practical skills required for an academic environment.
I tend to keep lessons around an hour, with the last 15 minutes dedicated to a practical application. I will do longer classes, but believe that realistic learning has to be done with breaks to ensure an optimal learning experience.
I have tutored and trained both professionals and tradesmen in varied environments and have given lessons to undergraduates within tertiary education. I'm happy dealing with a wide variety of students and prefer giving out a free session to determine compatibility before committing to further lessons.
