About David
I’m a Ridgefield WA-based tutor involved in the local school district and passionate about helping students thrive. I received my dual degrees in business and electrical engineering at the University of Florida and my master's degree in systems engineering at Iowa State University. I love to learn, picking up new hobbies all the time, from beekeeping and woodworking to sword making and crochet. In my profession as well as my hobbies, I regularly interact with people of all walks of life and one of my joys is to see the effect that teaching and the passage of knowledge and skills can bring to an individual and to a community as a whole. I have a flexible schedule and am available in person or online

I bring years of experience helping students from elementary through college. I cover all subjects and grade levels including English, math, science, and history. I’m patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about sharing my love of STEM and learning. I create supportive and engaging lessons, listening first to the needs of my students and their families, always tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. For high schoolers, I also provide full college prep support—test prep, assistance with applications, scholarships, and financial aid guidance.
