Throughout my education thus far, math has been my favorite subject to attend! I have always found that math allows you to take information being learned in class to create different puzzles and games that assist in learning the new information.

My plan in a lesson would include first permitting the student to ask to review specific questions they are struggling with. A goal that I have would be to relate the new learning to information that they may understand better. After permitting a student to ask specific questions, I will then have additional practice for the students. I will first assess their initial knowledge on the topic and then provide increasing challenges for the student. My main area of teaching is elementary and middle level education. As an education major, tutoring is great practice for me to continue to work on my skills. Not only is this beneficial for me, but having prior teaching and tutoring experience will benefit your student as I have additional practice.
