About Humes
Hi, I’m Katherine — a certified Special Education and Elementary teacher based in Florida with a Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from Florida State University. I’ve dedicated my career to helping students feel confident, capable, and supported in their learning journeys. With experience teaching students from various grade levels and abilities, including those with autism and other exceptionalities, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into clear, engaging lessons. I believe learning should be personalized, meaningful, and even fun! Outside the classroom, I work as a summer camp coordinator, so I’m used to adapting on the fly, keeping things creative, and making sure every child feels included and encouraged. Whether your child needs extra academic support, help building confidence, or a boost to reach their next level, I’m here to help with patience, structure, and care.
