About Joe
Who I Am and Why I Teach
I'm a software engineer with a passion for education. My journey includes building and shipping code for household names including Asda, and one of the world’s largest international vet consortiums. Throughout my corporate career I have enjoyed coaching and mentoring others, whether it’s helping peers with a subject area I’m more expert in or supporting those more junior. I have also had previous experience in private tutoring, with this as a successful side income during my university days. Now, while I launch an EdTech startup, I'm excited to teach others to code, sharing my passion and knowledge for this fascinating craft.
This allows me to:
• Share my expertise and help others grow
• Stay connected with learners' needs
• Understand the challenges faced by both students and tutors
My goal is to make a lasting impact on the tech education landscape while continuously improving my own skills and knowledge.
