About Pamela
Across sixteen years of coaching I have trained 815 students, many competing seriously for auditions, competitions, or demanding professional level playing standards under my guidance. My own training was rigorous and unforgiving, and I firmly believe that discipline, not comfort, is what separates a hobbyist from a real guitarist. I am demanding, direct, and occasionally blunt in my feedback, because vague encouragement wastes a student's limited preparation time before something important. Students who thrive with me want honest, precise correction, not gentle validation that avoids addressing real weaknesses directly. I am not suited to a relaxed hobby class experience at all.

My guitar lessons are built on precision, not comfort, since soft encouragement without genuine technical rigour produces players who feel good but collapse under real performance pressure. Every session opens with structured technical drills targeting picking accuracy, timing, and chord transitions, measured against clear, specific benchmarks tracked meticulously across months. I correct immediately and directly when a technique is sloppy, since delaying feedback lets bad habits calcify into permanent limitations for a serious student. Repertoire is assigned strategically based on what will stretch a student's weakest technical area, not simply what feels enjoyable to play that week. Mock performances under genuine pressure are scheduled frequently throughout preparation.
