About Rho
Hi! I’m Julia, an incoming undergraduate at Emory University majoring in Biology on the pre-med track. I graduated from Lambert High School with a 4.49 GPA and a 35 ACT (36 superscore), and I’ve earned 5s on nearly all AP exams across both STEM and humanities subjects.
Beyond academics, I’ve led a Top 10 globally ranked synthetic biology research team and conducted research at Georgia Tech, working on topics like CRISPR therapeutics and organ-on-chip systems. I love challenging myself academically, but also balancing that with creativity and leadership. Outside of school, I enjoy things like volleyball, piano, food photography, and stand-up comedy.

My teaching style is very personalized and strategy-focused. I don’t just help students understand content—I show them how to think through problems, manage time, and approach exams with confidence.
Since I’ve recently taken the ACT and AP exams (including the newer digital formats), I know what works and what doesn’t. I break down complex topics into simple steps and focus on patterns, shortcuts, and test-taking techniques that actually improve scores. I also adapt to each student’s learning style, whether that means going step-by-step, using examples, or practicing real test questions.
My goal is to make difficult material feel manageable while helping students build confidence and long-term skills
