About Gemma
I am an experienced qualified primary school teacher registered with the Queensland College of Teachers. Since graduating with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the UK in 2010 I have worked in primary schools and tutored in both the UK and Australia delivering high quality education to all the students I have taught. I pride myself on going the extra mile for each and every student. My experience to date has allowed me to work with students from K - 6 across a wide range of subjects.

I pride myself on being creative and innovative in my teaching and bring energy, vision and enthusiasm to all lessons. I am a well organised and approachable teacher who is capable of developing good personal relationships with my students. I hold high expectations of all the students I teach and enable them to develop a love of learning by teaching them how to learn, care for others and understand the world around them. My experience has taught me that as individuals we all learn in different ways. It is for this reason that I adapt my lessons to suit the needs of the learner; sharing the learning objectives, reasons for learning and making connections that my students can understand. Fundamentally I believe learning should be fun and meaningful. I am able to demonstrate a strong subject and pedagogical knowledge and have a commitment to keeping that knowledge and my skills as a teacher up to date.
