About Mehreen
Hi! My name is Mehreen and I study pharmacy at the University of Birmingham. I’ve been tutoring for many years now at various levels with my passion being helping others excel through their education. I enjoy working directly with the student to help overcome any barriers in their knowledge by doing exam questions, active recall, or whatever method is most efficient for that particular student. After sitting my A-level exams recently, I understand just how daunting the whole revision process is, and that is where I can help! With my grammar school education and A* revision techniques, I would love nothing more than to be the tutor who helps you achieve your full potential. Having received A*A*A in biology, psychology, and chemistry, it’s obvious to see I have a real love for sciences. I think sciences can help you in any field of work so it’s absolutely crucial to get those high grades!

In my 60-minute lessons I like to first ask what the student is struggling with; whether it’s understanding content or applying their understanding to exam questions. We then tackle problems step by step making sure the student is 100% confident before we move on. I like to do exam questions after we cover any new content to cement their knowledge and always give the opportunity to ask questions. I received all 9s and 8s in GCSEs as well as A*A*A at A-level so I am experienced in the curriculum and know exactly how to achieve those high marks. After tutoring for over 5 years, many of my students have also gone to achieve those same grades!
