About Mikhail
I am a 17 year old student at Westminster School; committed to Columbia engineering ’30. I have achieved A* predicted grades in each of Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics.
I have worked with students on and off for two and a half years now, improving grades from as low as a 4 to a 9 in mathematics and from 5s and 6s to high 8s and 9s in both chemistry and physics.
I enjoy teaching and focus on clarity, inspiring a joy of learning and helping students reach their full potential while keeping lessons low stakes and relaxed.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s exam board, homework requirements, and individual knowledge gaps. I focus on building strong fundamentals first, then developing exam technique through guided problem-solving and clear explanations. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and combine worked examples, questioning, and targeted practice. I have extensive experience teaching GCSE and AS-level maths, physics, and chemistry, as well as preparing students for competitive entrance exams to top secondary schools. As someone who has gone through the whole process of GCSEs and predicted grades myself I can understand the struggles of students and give insight as well as tips and tricks.
